Tuffy, the toy clown lived in a toy shop. He wished to do something noble. His friend, Timothy, felt that the clown always grumbled. But Tuffy thought that the adventures were always exciting.

Ans. Tuffy said, “Adventures are always exciting” because he was feeling bored sitting quietly on the shelf of the toy shop. Adventures are full of new and unusual experiences, so he thought they would be interesting and exciting.

Write ‘T’ for true and ‘F’ for false statements in the given boxes. Give supporting statements for each of your answers:

Ans. Timothy helped Tuffy by supplying the key of the door of the room where he had been locked. Tuffy unlocked the door with the key. In this way he was released from the police station. Ans. As Timothy was called hero by Tuffy, he blushed.

Read the following sentences carefully (নীচের বাক্যগুলি ভালো করে পড়ো):
Poor Tuffy was shaken like a rat. (বেচারা টাফি ইঁদুরের মতো কাঁপতে লাগল।)
What do you mean by spoiling my race like that ? (ওভাবে আমার দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতা নষ্ট করে দিয়ে তুমি কী বোঝাতে চাইছ ?)
I am a hero. (আমি একজন বীর।)
In the above sentences, the coloured words help to form tenses, questions and to explain the sense of the sentences. These words are called auxiliary verbs.
(ওপরের বাক্যগুলিতে রঙিন শব্দগুলি tense গঠন করতে, প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য গঠন করতে এবং বাক্যের অর্থ বিশ্লেষণ করতে সাহায্য করে। এই শব্দগুলিকে সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়াপদ বলে।)
Note that the auxiliary verb ‘be’ takes the forms of ‘am’, ‘is’, ‘are’, ‘was’ and ‘were’.

Write a paragraph in about sixty words on ‘A boat journey’ using the following hints: (নিম্নলিখিত সংকেত ব্যবহার করে ‘একটি নৌকাযাত্রা’ সম্পর্কে প্রায় ষাটটি শব্দের মধ্যে একটি অনুচ্ছেদ লেখো):
A boat journey (আ বোট জার্নি)
Hints: moonlit night – four friends – boat on a wide river – rippling of the water – dark forest on either side – thrill of the journey
It was a moonlit night. We were four friends and we were on a boat navigating a wide river. The sound of the river reflected in the moonlit night. The dark forests on both sides were mysterious. I could see lights dotted on both sides of the village in the distance. The boat trip was really exciting and stimulating. We will never forget this experience.
এটা ছিল চাঁদনী রাত। আমরা চার বন্ধু ছিলাম এবং আমরা একটি চওড়া নদীতে নৌকা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম। চাঁদনী রাতে নদীর শব্দ প্রতিফলিত হচ্ছিল। দুপাশের অন্ধকার জঙ্গল ছিল রহস্যময়। আমি দূর থেকে গ্রামের দুপাশে বিন্দু বিন্দু আলো দেখতে পাচ্ছিলাম। নৌকা ভ্রমণ সত্যিই উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ এবং উদ্দীপক ছিল। এই অভিজ্ঞতা আমরা কখনো ভুলব না।

Suppose you spent a night with Tuffy in the toy shop. Write a short paragraph in about sixty words describing your experience.

Last night I had a lot of fun with Tuffy in the toy shop. We made the shop look super pretty with colorful flowers and balloons. I wore a beautiful dress for the occasion. Tuffy and I played fun games like ludo and chess. Guess what ? I won at chess, but Tuffy beat me at ludo. I shared an exciting story with him. We had a yummy supper together before heading to bed around midnight.
গতকাল রাত্রে খেলনার দোকানে টাফির সঙ্গে বেশ মজা হল। আমরা দুজনেই দোকানটিকে ফুল ও বেলুন দিয়ে সাজিয়েছিলাম। আমি এক সুন্দর পোশাক পরেছিলাম। আমি টাফির সঙ্গে লুডো ও দাবা খেললাম। অনুমান করো কে জিতবে ? দাবা খেলায় আমি জিতলাম। কিন্তু লুডো খেলায় টাফি জিতল। আমি তাকে একটি মজার গল্প শোনালাম। একত্রে আমরা রাতের খাবার খেলাম। তারপর প্রায় মাঝরাতে আমরা শুতে গেলাম।
