Berhampore : A woman was badly wounded at Hunkahara village on Thursday when a man cut up her face with a sharp knife. After preliminary treatment at Sadikhanrdia block hospital, she was shifted to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital. Cops have detained one, but no one has been arrested yet.<\/p>\n

Hasina Banu went to a mango orchard with her goats in the afternoon when she came under attack. Hasina received injuries to her head, lips and cheek, and a portion of her tongue was also allegedly chopped. The motive behind the brutal attack is still unclear. Hasina’s brother-in-law Mukesh lodged a complaint against unknown person for trying to kill her.<\/p>\n

Police detained Mohibul Saikh, the owner of the land for interrogatian. Mohibul reportedly found Hasina first and took her to a local quack.<\/p>\n

Rochi Saikh, Hasina’s brother, said, “My sister couldn’t identify the miscreant since he attacked her from behind.”<\/p>\n
