1. Read the following text carefully and answer the questions which follow :

(Lesson 1, The Wind Cap)

“Since you put me on your head like a hat to keep me safe, I shall give you a different kind of cap in return, the kind sailors most desire. A cap full of wind. But there’s one warning no human hand will ever be able to take it off.

Then with a blink, the fairy man disappeared leaving a striped cap behind. Young Jon put the cap on his head and ran home to tell his mother

“No good will come of the wind cap,” she said. But the lad would have none of her cautions. The very next day, putting on the sailor’s cap, fie ran off to the sea. On seeing a ship anchored near the shore, he requested the captain to take him along. Thus began his first ever sea voyage.

These social networks can be used to improve our social awareness. Students can explore topics that they are interested in by using online social networking. This can be done by interacting with people from different parts of the world. Teachers, students and professionals can also create discussion forums, or write blogs and posts to explore different and wide-ranging topics.

Social networking takes place online where people meet and share ideas and experiences. Many companies use social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to connect with customers and clients. This can create opportunities for relationship-building, brand-building, publicity and promotions.

At the beginning of the letter you take my cordial love .For a long time we are away from each other .I hope you all are well by the grace of God .I am also fine by the grace of God. Today I am very excited .I want to share a good news with you. You know I had a wish to perform on stage for a long time .On the occasion of our school’s annual function. I finally got a chance to perform on the poet’s play ‘Dakghar’. My teachers selected me to perform on the stage. I was so excited. I never dreamt that I would get a chance to perform on the stage .But the day came.I was happy and nervous at the same time. I played the role which impressed the audience very much. Everyone appreciated my performance .They praised me with clapping.

No more today . I shall tell you in detail when we meet.
